Longwatch is built using industry standards and open architecture so that you can select the cameras that are right for your application and budget. With Longwatch, you're not locked into a single vendor's camera family.
Longwatch supports both analog and digital (IP) cameras. NTSC or PAL analog cameras can be fed directly into the Remote Video Engine (RVE).
IP cameras (or analog cameras connected via video converters) can be connected to the RVE, Micro or computer running the LVE software via the TCP/IP Ethernet port. The LVE software running in these devices can support communications with different brands and models of IP cameras.
Pan-Tilt-Zoom control can be performed automatically using pre-configured presets and triggers within the LVE, or can be commanded manually by the operator from the HMI or Longwatch Viewer.
A camera driver toolkit is available that enables support for virtually any IP camera protocol.
