Unlike traditional video systems that were designed for casinos, campuses and warehouses, Longwatch was designed from the start on industry standards, ready to be interfaced with other equipment.
Longwatch uses highly efficient, event-driven video "clips" to inform the operator what happened before, during, and after an event. To trigger these events, Longwatch can be connected to external devices such as:
The Longwatch Remote Video Engine includes built-in I/O hardware for interfacing to external devices. Computers running the Longwatch Video Engine software, as well as the Micro Video Engine, are easily interfaced using an external I/O module that connects through a TCP/IP connection.
Longwatch software can also receive "soft contact" event triggers using OPC.
